“Karl proof” Protective Dome

The high impact plastic provides a layer of protection from a crash. These are also great for sandy and snowy conditions. Cold satellite startup signal has been tested through the plastic with GPS lock. 4 Counter sunk screw attachments provide a vibration free flight. (recommend M3 nylon screws, not included). Shown in the photo using screws from the arm of the frame but it is recommended that a washer is used or a screw with a wider head to help prevent the screw hole from ripping.

The textured model helps to hide scratches.

A lip of plastic has been left for use in multiple applications and provides extra strength.

The height was chosen to be compact for wind resistance with enough room for electronics. In most cases it is higher than the prop adapters to absorb impact. Seen tested with a few flips gone wrong.
